Material Coordinator-PUR0003555
- Ensures that all data / information for a flawless material flow are available
- Coordinates material flow activity
- Supports BPD / Scorecard achievement
- Works with material supervisors
- Ensures correct inventories for Component/Press/Assembly material (inventory control process)
- Interfaces with suppliers, LLP, and plant floor on material issues
- Monitors pull systems through periodic audits
- Responds to and resolves floor problems in the assigned floor area such as min/max conditions, standard pack
discrepancies, packaging compliance coordination with the supplier, labeling, part misuse, and discrepancy reports
- Resolves other supplier non-conformances
- Confirms / Issues PRR’s for various issues and follows up on supplier responses
- Manages material flow on source changes
- Maintains all plant material records and investigates errors, gains and losses
- Investigates part histories to identify misuse, specification problems, unaccounted scrap or potential theft
- Implements, monitors and maintains GMS elements
- Audit of receiving process, follow-up and resolution of discrepancies
- Acts as GEPICS Coordinator on 2nd shift performing all required functions (Engineering Change Countdowns,
Setouts, Running Option Reports, Adding Hold Codes)
- Performs order holds and coordinates release of all PTR/Pilot/Special Need Vehicles on the PR&T System
- Update Pull Systems (EPS,PPS) and visuals to support engineering changes on 1st or 2nd shift
Qualifications
- Planning and organizational abilities
- Oral and written communications skills
- High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees, and elicit work output
- High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult
Basic Preferred
- Automotive experience required
- Knowledge of scheduling and inventory control systems
- Material/Logistics experience
- Plant manufacturing experience
Education and Training
Bachelors degree reqired; Master's preferred
