Process Engineer - Powertrain Job (Spring Hill, TN, US)

Process Engineer - Powertrain-MAN0014430



Develop and support manufacturing processes aligned to standard Bill of Process strategies through equipment, tooling and process flow strategies; for the effective utilization of people, equipment, material and facilities.



Responsibilities of this position include:



- Emphasis on delivery and continuous improvement of safety, quality and productivity

- Process management using tools such as, PFMEA, PCP, Gauge Plans, Tool Plans, Error Proofing, etc.

- Provide technical guidance to Maintenance and Production

- Interface with Maintenance and Operations with appropriate project planning to ensure effective//timely installation and validation of projects

- Define manufacturing processes

- Support ISO 14001, PPAP and APQP processes

- Interface with Product Engineering and Suppliers

- Planning and Launch activities when required

Qualifications



Basic Required:



- 3 years’ experience in Assembly or Machining processing

- Strong technical knowledge and ability in process engineering disciplines

- High level of analytical ability

- Demonstrate strong level of communication and interpersonal skills, required to build relationships with team members and customers to solve problems and resolve issues.

- Demonstrate ability to manage multiple and difficult projects and assignments with a high level of autonomy and accountability for results.

- Demonstrate initiative by reaching beyond work assigned to improve output and/or help others

- Strong work ethic (self-starter, responsible, follow through on assignments)

- Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization in a team environment



Basic Preferred:



- Aluminum Machining: metal cutting, flexible manufacturing, CNC programming, GD&T, print reading, manufacturing systems, statistics and process capability

- Tooling: speeds, feeds and depth of cut, continuous improvement in cost, productivity and quality

- Gauging: CMM systems, gauge designs, data collection, statistical analysis, sampling plans



Education:



- Bachelor’s degree with a major in Engineering or equivalent experience
