This is a newly created global position, reporting to the Global Director, RTP Processes Controls & Transformation. The position supports process stewardship and provides oversight of all relevant Request to Pay (RTP) processes using assessments of relevant metrics and process operations toimprove operational quality, process integrity, and process compliance. The position is additionally responsible for the leadership, transformation, and execution of global RTP process mappingdevelopment.

This position is responsible for driving global standardized processes across the enterprise, establishing uniform processes and measuring process compliance, overall effectiveness and driving continuous improvement in all RTP processes. It is globally responsible for developing materials to communicate, sustaining and improving business policies, operating procedures and works with system training resources to enable Global Business Services (GBS) resources to be efficient and effective in their respective positions. The role has authority to create global process standards as required based on GBS internal business feedback. The position scope is global. It stewards process design oversight for all relevant global RTP services using assessments from all appropriate metrics and process operations SLAs to improve operational quality, process integrity and compliance.

Additionally, Global RTP Process and Transformation will, on a global basis:

· Support a team of procurement operations professionals through the effective design of RTP processes.

· Interface with the controls activity in helping establish proper controls for the global RTP space.

· Design processes associated with purchase order creation through supplier settlement.

· Support the establishment of relevant policies and procedures.

· Development of Procurement’s benchmarks and report on the department’s performance and conduct ongoing monitoring.

· Prepare process maps to outline the current state landscape

· Create process definition documentation to outline a global end state vision

· Drive benchmarking and measurement to support the business case for changes

· Understand the linkages and touch points with the accounts payable function

· Provide RTP process and control audit support to all relevant GM and external audit services.

· Monitor RTP functions for effectiveness and efficiency.

· Suggest training for all RTP roles from Requestors, Buyers, Invoice Approvers, and Accounts Payable to ensure process compliance and efficiency.

· Provide oversight of internal process excellence for the GBS Procurement organization.

· Participate as necessary to review and approve processes in accordance with GBS policies and procedures.

· Establish workflow targets and objectives and monitor performance for the Transaction Center.

· Develop process implementation plans including communications, Procurement technology adoption, etc. to drive operational performance.

· Utilize GBS performance metrics to improve productivity and lower transactional costs of purchase order processing and all other processes within the scope of the organization.

· Coordinate the development of and monitoring of end-to-end processes and metrics.

· Has accountability for developing Service Level Agreements to our customers for services delivered from IM/&E and third parties within the scope of the IM/&E group.

· Ensures coordination of work streams across the enterprise.

· Has a detailed level of understanding of the global process flows.

· Responsible for coordinating policy and procedure execution within the GBS Procurement processes.

· Work closely with the Global RTP Process Owner and monitor RTP functions for effectiveness and efficiency to determine training gaps.

· Assist the Global RTP Process Owner by providing administrative oversight of internal process excellence for the GBS RTP organization.



· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering or Equivalent

· 5-7 years Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Controls or other related experience

· Business Process Management/Mapping software experience (Blueworks Live, MS Visio, etc.)

· SAP user experience in Procurement and/o rPayables.

· Other experiences a plus: Process improvement or training in Procurement Operations, Project Management, and/or Category Management, Process Documentation and Process Transformation.

· Excellent interpersonal as well as achieving a collaborative working relationship with all stakeholders, customers and business partners.

· Ability to recognize strategic direction and effectively champion initiatives.

· Understanding the GM business.

· Has strong problem solving capability and customer focus

· Adaptability to a changing environment with the ability to impact & influence others.

· Proficient knowledge of all GM operational systems (SAP) is a plus.

Knowledge skills: SAP Systems and Other RTP Technology, GM Company Policy, RTP Procedures, RTP Best Practices, Operational/Process Management.

PC Proficiency: MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project), Reporting & Analysis Tools, ERP systems – SAP, Blue Works Live or related Process Mapping Technologies.
