Seeking a candidate for IT Business Analyst role in the Customer Care & Aftersales group of General Motors. The IT team is responsible for delivery of high impact business solutions to the CCA function, including large insourcing & product implementation projects. The Business Analyst role is responsible for partnering with the business organization to shape business requirements that effectively leverage technology, deliver system requirements and maximize business value to General Motors. The Business Analyst will also be responsible to optimize a product to achieve the business goals while maximizing return on investment. The Business Analyst will act as the primary point of contact for any requests related to new or enhanced service related to this product offering.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities

- Support the development of business requirements (functional and non-functional)

-In support of project delivery, work with the business community to document and coordinate user acceptance testing and training plans.

- Serve as a liaison between the Business community and other IT Teams (i.e., Architecture, Project Delivery, Application Sustain, etc.)

- Assist Business Partners during insourcing applications, implementing SAP or eCommerce Projects

- Develop a thorough understanding of business processes, best practices, and available supporting technology & documentation

- Establishes and maintains relationships with key decision-makers at the top of the business, function, geography or organization as well as key tactical leaders. Uses extensive business knowledge at domain level to drive engagement for the largest Information Technology (IT) initiatives. Proactively engages in strategic business planning where there is IT impact; influences overall business strategies of customer organizations.

- Communicates strategic IT decisions and plans and works to achieve alignment at the top level of the business, function, or geography.

- Collaborate with the Program Management Office and Engineering/Architecture organizations to help shape/drive future project roadmaps to ensure product/service innovation implementation.

- Identifies the need for new IT processes as well as significant improvements to major IT processes and drives the development and implementation of those Leads or contributes to enterprise-wide solutions that impact multiple businesses, functions, and/or countries. Leads or contributes in a significant way to major projects or critical business processes.



Minimum Qualifications:

- 7-10 years of relevant experience in large or medium supply chain implementations, warehouse management, & logistics management

- Experience in data warehouse implementations

- Experience interacting with business customers and managing expectations

- Experience in measuring project success factors with respect to cost, schedule and quality

- Experience with requirements and test case development

- Experience in Agile projects, product management

- Knowledge of PMP/ITIL methodologies preferred

- In Depth knowledge of Business Analyst fundamentals, including requirements elicitation, elaboration and change management

- Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills.

- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.

- Demonstrated basic collaboration, negotiation and facilitation skills.

- Experience with Microsoft desktop applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).

- Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in working with development teams utilizing technologies such as Access, .NET JAVA and SQL Sever or Oracle database

- 7-10 years of experience in an IT service delivery role supporting business functions or performing a role on IT projects

- 3-4 years of experience managing teams

- Experience with supply chain applications, SAP Warehouse applications, or SAP Parts Planning applications

- In-depth understanding of business issues and data challenges of the organization and industry as a whole

- In-depth understanding of business process and how application(s) they represent support it

- Demonstrates critical skills such as collaboration, strong written and verbal communication skills and analytical capability

- Increased acumen for planning, strong time management skills and ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects

- Experience in modeling techniques such as Business Process Model Development, System Context Diagraming Development, Decision Tables and Tree Development and Wire Frame Development

- Have an understanding of how Structural Unified Modeling Language (UML) Diagrams and Behavioral Unified Modeling Language (UML) Diagrams work

- Have an understanding of Conceptual Data Models, Logical Data Models and Physical Data Models
