eSAP Global Finance Transformation Projects – Record to Report/General Ledger Analyst
Job Description:
The continuous improvement of GM's SAP General Ledger functionality and the successful integration between the GL and other SAP Global Finance Transformation projects will require a self-starter-type analyst who is motivated, engaged, and highly organized, along with strong analytic and technical skills. This individual will demonstrate a high level of initiative, independent judgment, decision-making, accuracy and creativity in order to drive the improvement and expansion of SAP functionality.
One analyst is required in the Record to Report/General Ledger area of expertise to support communication, training and continuous improvements in critical financial processes such as:
1. General Ledger monthly transaction processing
2. Closing cockpit monitoring functionality
3. Ledger month-end closing functionality
4 SAP settlement issues
5. SAP allocation issues
6. SAP revaluation support
7. Trial Balance submission
Activities will include assessing current process improvement opportunities, identifying SAP solution alternatives, testing/validating system changes, developing/expanding training as required, and communicating new functionality.
In addition, analyst will be involved in assessing the SAP system impact of organizational changes and new accounting initiatives.
Qualifications
Basic Skills and Competencies Required:
- Undergraduate or Master’s degree(s) with a major in business or technology related degrees or equivalent experience.
- Strong internal GM General Ledger process knowledge or external SAP knowledge in the areas of FI/CO
- Solid knowledge of Internal Controls
- Experience managing teams and deliverables
- Problem solving and analytical abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to teamwork and partnerships
- Strong oral and written communication
- Ability to prioritize assignments/projects and multi-task within restricted time constraints
- Ability to network and collaborate cross-functionally
- Ability to perform under tight deadlines
