The Small Business Coach Cuts Complexity, One Case at a Time

Join us on The Small Business Coach, a new advice column from SAP, as we take a look at how to solve issues affecting small business owners and entrepreneurs. Save time, money, and headache with The Small Business Coach. This special series runs until August 11 on the SAP News Center.

Barry Lederman

Barrry Lederman_SBC1 Barry Lederman is a Senior Business Analyst, Vice President, at Softengine. Barry has over 30 years’ experience in managing software companies. Prior to joining Softengine as Vice President of Business Development, Barry served as Vice President of Marketing for AppFinity Software, a SAP Business One software developer.  He also held senior management positions as Vice President of Marketing and as a General Manager with CaminoSoft Corporation, a storage management software company. Carrie Maslen

Carrie Maslen_SBCCarrie Maslen is Global Vice President of Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) at SAP. She joined SAP’s North America partner team in 2010, and subsequently moved to a global role responsible for developing partners. Her current responsibility is to ensure that SMEs can compete and grow by taking advantage of SAP solutions. Prior to SAP, Carrie spent over 20 years at Hewlett Packard and five years consulting independently. She was an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland’s School of Business and a guest lecturer at the University of Chicago’s Business School. Carrie has been recognized as one of the ‘100 Most Powerful Women of the Channel’ in 2011, 2013, and 2014, as one of the ‘100 People You Don’t Know but Should’ in 2011, and as one of the ‘Women of the Channel’  in 2014. Susan Wilson Solovic

Karie Willyerd

Karie Willyerd_SBC1 Karie Willyerd is a Workplace Futurist at SuccessFactors, an SAP company. Prior to that she was the cofounder and CEO of Jambok, the industry’s first video-based informal social learning software platform, which was acquired by SuccessFactors in March, 2011. Karie was formerly Chief Learning Officer for Sun Microsystems, and in that role she was responsible for employee, customer, partner, and Sun community learning. Karie is the coauthor of the award-winning bestseller, The 2020 Workplace: How Innovative Companies Attract, Develop & Keep Tomorrow’s Employees Today (Harper Business May, 2010). Her new book, Stretch: How to Future-Proof Yourself for Tomorrow’s Workplace will be out on September 28th.
